Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the craniosacral system, the environment in which the brain and spinal cord functions.
Imbalance or dysfunction in the Craniosacral System can cause sensory, motor or neurological disabilities. These problems may include chronic pain, scoliosis, motor coordination impairments and learning disabilities, as well as other physical and psychological problems.
A large field of focus of this therapy covers the imbalances found after difficult child births; mother and baby can be treated.
The craniosacral therapist stimulates the lifting of blockages that cause physical or emotional imbalances of the patient or client, leading to improved function, releasing physical or emotional trauma and lessening of pain e.g. arthritis or rheumatic pain.
