I think my interest in consciousness was sparked as an eight year old young girl when I attended my first yoga class.
Having had little success at school netball and hockey, my father asked a friend to take me along to a yoga class “to get some exercise”. During some simple breath work I experienced the peace and grace that yoga brings and connection to the Higher Self. After many years of attending classes and workshops, guided by wonderful teachers and mentors, I qualified in 2008 as a Hatha Yoga teacher following the classical teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati of the BIHAR school. I enjoy the more restorative yin style of yoga and see the benefits for people struggling with past trauma and stress.
Following schooling I obtained diplomas in Clinical Pathology (chemistry, haematology and microbiology) and Medical Microbiology and worked as a Medical Technologist in Pathology Laboratories.
After becoming a mother to four children I obtained a BA in Psychology and Socio-Cultural Anthropology.
In 2017 I had a horse riding accident when I broke my pelvis in 5 places and dislocated my sacroiliac joints. I was pinned back together and started some Body Talk sessions to enhance my healing with my dear friend Eunice. My surgeon could not believe how rapidly I healed and got back on my feet again without crutches.
I was deeply inspired to further develop my interest in consciousness and energy and enrolled in the very next BodyTalk Fundamentals course. I have since expanded my knowledge with Advanced BodyTalk modalities and Parama that lifts it to another level of understanding Energetic Healing.
My other interests are painting and sculpture. I enjoy painting large canvases in acrylic and making small sculptures in bronze.
Finally I offer Reiki healing and Tai Chi lessons.
