Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Did you know that 10 – 15% of people suffer from that feeling in the stomach that can range from slightly unsettled to on the verge of vomiting and discomfort due to gas, bloating, constipation and/or diarrhea ? They use antacids to ease the pain, eat smaller meals, eliminate certain foods, reduce alcohol and drink plenty of water, nothing helps and then they go to the doctor seeking medical help for the discomfort and pain.

Does this sound like you?
It is well documented that physical illness / disease, starts as an emotion. It is true that a sad thought can bring a tear, or rage can send you trembling. So, what kind of thoughts can bring on IBS?
The first thing we ask ourselves is where is my IBS manifesting.
In the Stomach:
Why do you feel punched in the stomach?
What are you not able to stomach?
What is eating you?
Below the Belly Button:
What details of my life am I having trouble assimilating?
What do I really need in my life and what is unnecessary?
Do I feel supported?
Do I feel that people leave me?
The Pelvic area:
What am I holding on to?
Why don’t I want to look at my future?
Why can’t I do anything right?
Will I be able to support myself without the help of my family and or friends?
In BodyTalk we never just look at the physical symptom of disease, we look at the cause of the disease to create lasting shifts and changes.
